Thanksgiving table set with Spode’s Italian pattern

Thanksgiving table set with Spode’s Italian patternFor November, we have a Thanksgiving table set with Spode’s Italian pattern with a variety of other patterns displayed in the hutch and on the wall.

The pattern originated in 1816 and has been in continuous production ever since that time, making it the most popular pattern ever produced by Spode and the succeeding firms at the Spode factory. The center view was based on an unsigned grey pen and wash sketch which is now held in the Spode Museum Trust, said to have been copied from a Claude Lorraine pastoral landscape of 1638 which can be seen at Parham House in Sussex. The pattern has been copied by other potteries as well.
