About these Galleries
The Image Gallery is intended to serve as a resource for TCC members and site visitors to learn more about the production of British ceramics. The images found in the Galleryare made available free of charge strictly for non-commercial use for research and educational purposes.
The first images made available in the Gallery are the result of a project funded by a TCC Richards Foundation Research Grant that was completed by Paul and Kath Holdway, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK. This grant funded a project to digitize 2,300 historically important slides and black and white negatives showing the pottery processes used at the Spode factory. The digital images found in the galleries shown below cover a broad range of topics related to Spode's production processes, the Spode Works buildings and the adjacent area, archaeological discoveries, as well as images retained from Robert Copeland's lectures on these and related topics. You are invited to view and enjoy the galleries featured below.
Inquiries regarding the commercial use of any of these images should be sent to the Transferware Collectors Club President at: firstname.lastname@example.org
