A reprise of Adrienne Bogg's wonderful presentation exploring of the stylistic elements of Aesthetic transferware in "The Aesthetic Movement Comes to America: Art for Art’s Sake and the House Beautiful Introduced at the 1876 Philadelphia Exposition." Adrienne shared this fascinating look at the Aesthetic Movement and its expression on British transferware at our in-person annual meeting in Philadelphia in April. It was very well received, and we then asked her to share it with a wider group of our members at the October virtual meeting.
Rich with content for ceramic collectors, researchers, authors, curators, and historic archaeologists, the sites are sure to deliver value for their visitors. The exhibition’s curators continue to enhance them and, now, with site application upgrades, including a new magnification feature and upgraded content management capabilities, the TCC and its collaborators are pleased to relaunch these exhibits, all free to a worldwide audience.
