Announcing New Annual Research Grant Fund for Studies in British Transferware
The Transferware Collectors Club is pleased to announce that it has received a commitment from the Paul and Gladys Richards Charitable Foundation to establish a $5,000 annual grant to support research focused on British transferware produced from 1760 to 1900. Paul and Gladys Richards were avid transferware collectors, and a charitable foundation was established in their memory in 1995. A long-time supporter of the Transferware Collectors Club, the Richards Charitable Foundation also provided a generous grant to aid in the establishment of the club in 1999.
While this will mark the third year of the TCC research grant program, the program will be named in the Richards’ honor going forward. Past Recipients
Research grant proposals will be due on February 1, 2010. Grant recipients will be notified in late March, 2010, with funds made available in early April, 2010.
